How does Peer Luxe work?

Lending:

List the most popular/sought after items in your wardrobe that others like you would enjoy. Once a rental is requested, use our secure marketplace to finalize the transaction, ship your item/meet-up in person, and receive secure payment. It’s that easy!

What items do we accept?

The most popular & sought after items in your wardrobe that others like you would enjoy!

-Brand Name “like new” clothing. (Formal dresses, dresses, tops, skirts, pants, children’s clothing, seasonal clothing)

-Retail value of $80.00 or more (we will accept items of slightly less value if you have other items listed of a higher value). Fast fashion doesn’t typically rent well.

-2-3 years or newer. Some “timeless” pieces will be allowed if they are in “like new” condition.

-Pictures of clothing on hangers will not be approved

How long does it take for items to be approved?

24 hours or less. If posted on the weekend this process could take longer. Fill out information as accurately as possible to expedite your listing.  If you need help on listing or pricing your item, please email service@peerluxe.com

How do Lender's earn money by renting?

Joining and setting up a new account on Peer Luxe is free. However, Peer Luxe charges the Lender 25% of the rental and/or sale price and the Lender keeps 75%. The 25% fee covers credit card processing, customer service, & building and maintaining the Peer Luxe website and services.

Who is responsible for cleaning of garments?

The Lender is responsible for cleaning per the manufacturers recommendations. There is a no tolerance policy for items that are not cleaned prior to rental (see terms and conditions)

What is the Late Policy?

Rentals must be returned on or before the agreed upon return date. Late charges will be assessed at the rate of $25.00 per day. After five (5) business days, the full retail price of the Rented Item will be charged against the Renter’s form of payment. Those items that are to be returned by way of mailing should be deposited in the mail, with proof of tracking number, on or before the return date. Those items that are to be returned in person, or at a third party’s store front location, will have to be dropped off before the close of business on the return date. No exceptions apply and those that repeatedly violate these Terms of Use, including the Late Policy, may be subject to losing the privilege to use the Website and Peer Luxe Services.

What is the Shipping Policy?

Upon the confirmation of any rental and/or sale through the Peer Luxe site, the Lender will receive pre-paid and pre-addressed shipping or 3rd Party Drop location labels in order to mail or drop off the rented item. Shipping Charges are refundable up to 48 hours after an order is confirmed by the Lender.  After 48 hours, all shipping charges are FINAL and Non-Refundable.  Shipping to P.O. Box addresses is prohibited. Items with Retail Value over $500.00 require a signature if being mailed. No in-person exchange is permitted for items of $250.00 value or more. It is prohibited to change shipping information outside of the Peer Luxe platform. If the renter requests an address change, please notify Peer Luxe at service@peerluxe.com so we can validate the new information.

What is the Return Policy?

You will have until midnight of the day you receive your rental to “Return” the item for a full refund. The Renter must email service@peerluxe.com with the order number and/or booking number and note “Return”.

-The item must be returned to the Lender, unworn, the following day. $5.00 non-refundable service charge will apply on all returns.

-If no email is sent noting “Return” by midnight of the date that the item is received, the item will be considered “rented” and all agreed upon costs will be final & non-refundable.

What If I Need to Extend My Rental?

Contact us at service@peerluxe.com. We will contact the Lender to confirm extension. Additional rental charges may be applied at the Lender’s discretion. This charge will be no more that the per day charge. (ex. If a rental cost $30.00 for 4 days the charge would be an additional $7.50 per day). Rental Extensions are not guaranteed and it is within the sole discretion of the Lender to agree to the rental period extension.

When will my card be charged?

The full rental amount, including shipping and rental coverage, will be charged to your credit card upon rental confirmation by the Lender.  Prior to shipping, we may pre-authorize your credit card for the full retail price, but not put through to your bank unless the item isn’t returned.  Items can be reserved up to 75 days in advance.

When will the Lender receive payment?

Once the rental period ends, the item will be mailed back to the Lender.  The Lender will verify they have received the item(s) and close out the order in the Peer Luxe website.  Once the rental is fully closed the transaction is then complete and lenders can expect payment to their account in 3-5 business days.  Most times sooner.
